Connecting with Your Mobile Phone
Available in ITE (In-the-Ear) and ITC (In-the-Canal) styles, Widex Moment M-IP hearing aids sit directly in the ear, making them susceptible to earwax and debris. Regular cleaning helps extend their lifespan and maintain optimal performance.
Remove Earwax and Debris
- Use a soft, dry cloth to gently clean the outer shell of your hearing aid. Avoid using water or alcohol-based solutions, as they can damage the electronic components.
- For the microphone ports, use a brush designed for hearing aids to clear away any buildup. Take care not to push debris further inside.
Inspect the Wax Guard
Make sure to check the wax filters regularly and replace them if required.
Vent
Many ITC/ITE hearing aids have a small vent to reduce occlusion (plugged sensation). Use a vent cleaning tool to clear this out, taking care not to damage it.
Daily Storage
When not in use, store your hearing aids in a clean, dry case. For added protection, use a hearing aid drying box or dehumidifier to prevent moisture buildup, especially in humid climates.
