This is the latest addition to the Widex family, The Widex Sound Assist. This compact device will connect to your hearing aids, and allows you to hear your life better. It can be used in numerous day to day settings, whether it is a family dinner, a one-to-one conversation or an important phone call, Sound Assist can help you feel part of the action and more connected to the sounds that matter most to you.


The Sound Assist has many different functions to help you forget you are wearing hearing aids

  • Partner Microphone Mode: One-to-One conversations with family and friends sound crystal clear. When a single speaker is wearing the Sound Assist, the device automatically streams the voice of the conversation partner to your hearing aid.
  • Table microphone mode: Hear important work meetings, lively dinners, and group conversations with ease. Place the device on a flat surface it will automatically stream the voices to your hearing aids. If you wish to focus on a single speaker it is possible to lock the listening direction.
  • Hands-free phone calls: Amazing sound quality calls on the go. The Sound Assist will allow you to accept, decline and end phones calls, and the in-built microphone will pick up your voice during a call.
  • Streaming from any Bluetooth device: Stream music and film audio to your hearing aids effortlessly.
  • Remote Control for Widex Moment Bluetooth hearing aids: Adjust the volume, and change hearing aid programs easily.
  • Telecoil mode: Telecoil functionality even if your hearing aids do not have telecoil function.

How to use

Ensure the unit is switched off, restart your hearing aids. Press the volume up button and the power button simultaneously for 3 seconds until the in-use light glows blue. Make sure the Sound Assist and your hearing aids are within 1 metre range of each other. The pairing will start automatically. The in-use light will briefly flash green when the pairing is successfully completed.


It takes approximately 3 hours to charge your device. Your individual streaming behaviour will determine the battery life, but an overall estimate for general use is 10 hours of streaming. The device can still be used during charging.


The Widex Sound Assist is compatible with Widex Moment and Widex Moment Sheer hearing aids
