This TV Connector is wireless, requiring no need for a neck loop. Small and unimposing, this unit sits neatly in any TV cabinet. Easy handling once set up, requiring little input for the user to switch on/off streaming.
The TV Connector can be connected to the audio source by either of the two different audio cable inputs: Optical (Toslink) or Analog (3.5 mm jack). Either of the audio cables can be plugged into the dedicated audio socket on the TV Connector.
The Phonak TV Connector for Marvel Hearing Aids allows users of Audeo Marvel hearing aids to wirelessly stream the sound from the television PC or HiFi system without the need of a neck loop. This means others can watch the television at their preferred volume alongside the user.
Use the power supply unit and the USB cable to power the connector from a mains source. Alternatively, the TV Connector can be powered via USB cable on the TV. This connector turns on the first time it is connected to a power source, however if it does not, just press and hold the power button for longer than 2 seconds to turn on the device. The very first time powering up the device, the connection to the hearing aids will be initiated automatically and the hearing aids will play a confirmation tone if connection is successful.
If the initial pairing is unsuccessful, or if the hearing aids are not within a 1 metre (3ft) range when the TV connector is first powered, then the device can be paired by pressing the pairing button on the back of the TV connector. Once pressed, the LED lights will blink blue and an audible tone will sound in the hearing aids when the connection has been made. After the initial connection, the TV connector will connect again automatically.
