The Oticon EduMic is a wireless remote microphone hearing aid accessory. It helps provide direct access to a primary speaker when distance and noise make it difficult to hear.

The EduMic can help improve speech understanding in the classroom for children who suffer from hearing loss, it can help overcome noise and distance, providing clear and direct access to the teacher’s voice. The EduMic has been specifically designed with education in mind and helps improve the signal-to-noise ratio for students hard of hearing with Oticon hearing aids. It has been tried and tested with teachers to ensure optimal ease of use.

EduMic provides a steady signal using Bluetooth technology and can connect to an unlimited number of hearing aids, making it ideal for the classroom.

How to use:

The EduMic can be utilized in a variety of different ways. It can be worn by the teacher or main speaker by attaching to a lapel or collar.  Alternatively, it can be worn around the neck with the adjustable lanyard provided.

Microphone mode (20m range)-  Streaming in this mode is designed for one-to-many communication

Jack mode (20m range)- When the Jack cable Is connected the EduMic streams audio input from external sound sources directly to hearing aids.

FM mode (3m range)- When a universal (FM) receiver is plugged in, EduMic is in FM mode and streams the audio from another wireless system

Telecoil mode (3m range)-  When Telecoil mode is enabled EduMic streams audio from a teleloop system

Caring for EduMic

EduMic is moisture repellent which makes it very easy to clean with a damp cloth. Cleaning on a regular basis is recommended.
